  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] help with handbrake balance

my son has an 03 reg corsa 1.4

the rear hand brakes don't have the same braking efficiency, but i cant find any info in the haynes manual that tells you how to balance them. there is only 1 cable adjuster at the handbrake, so i guess this works on both sides together.

i can see something on the rear axle where the long cable (going to the nearside drum) joins the shorter cable (going to the offside drum). this looks like it might be some sort of balancer/adjuster, but i cant see how it works.

can anyone help with this? thanks

This is in the wrong section which is why you aren't getting much help. You need to balance them by setting the rear brakes up properly on each side. Usually it's a case of tweaking the adjusters so each side is the same.
