  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] P0010 and P0030 Fault help required

    Hi all

Due to problems on my C with regards to slow tickover and roaring on acceleration , I have carried out another pedal test and came up with these following faults.

The question is would they cause my problems?

P0010 "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 1)

    and

    P0030 HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

And where are they on the 1.0? Would I be better getting genuine replacements or would the local motor factor be ok for these ones for reliability

    Thanks Phil

    What year is yours?

Also - have you cleared the codes and then re-read them? Otherwise one of those might be an old code. You need a code reader to this on your model.

Camshaft position sensor - could be the sensor itself, or a wiring issue/bad connection, or a problem with the crankshaft sensor (I know it sounds daft but if they get out of sync the ECU will sometimes throw a camshaft code because the two aren't in time with each other) or a timing issue. The last one I worked on with that code proved to be that the timing chain was slightly out of line.

Lambda sensor - again it could be the sensor or the circuit. If you could hook it up to a decent reader you could monitor what's going on and that might give you a better chance of identifying where the problem is.

For any spares like this ring Autovaux 01924 376003

Roaring on acceleration - check the exhaust manifold hasn't cracked, a common problem on the 3 pot engines, and it will cause those kind of issues.
