  • [Corsa B 1993-2000] Reducing cabin noise

Fitted a new exhaust system yesterday (straight through with rage back box), it sounds sweet but the cabin noise is far too loud.

Any way of reducing cabin noise?

Not really, that's the cost of having a straight through + backbox. Thought the same when I did mine + manifold and decat but you soon get used to it and love it haha

By get used to it do you mean you've gone that deaf you can't hear it anymore haha.

Il leave it be and live with it for now.

        Reducing cabin noise

Why fit a straight through exhaust then complain it's too loud?

Other than changing the exhaust or spending a hundred quid or so on Dynamat, no.

The drone in the cabin usually happens when you remove the centre resonator. Apart from putting in another centre section with a resonator on it, you could buy some sound dedeaning from ebay, strip the interior, fit it all, and that should help.

I knew it would be loud just not this loud haha, I had the same back box but with a de-cat and a powerflow centre section and it was no where near as loud!

It sounds nice so gonna leave it be, maybe take some ear plugs with me on long journeys haha
