as above guy's, have got a bit of play in the steering column and looks to be the pins nr the upper knuckle, have searched the web for a repair kit but cant find anything, can anyone please point me in the right direction or is it a complete new column ??

I thought it would be about that age, a lot of them do it. Personally I'd live with it, but if you want to sort it then you'll need to take the steering shaft out - note that the bolts are shear bolts which means drilling them out, which is why if it passes the MOT I'd live with it on a car that age.
