steering column play...

  • [Corsa B] steering column play...

    as above guy's, have got a bit of play in the steering column and looks to be the pins nr the upper knuckle, have searched the web for a repair kit but cant find anything, can anyone please point me in the right direction or is it a complete new column ??

    What year / model? The B often has a bit of play in the top bearing - but unless it's severe they'll usually MOT OK.

      sorry mate it's 1995 5 door 1.2, been told by MOT guy it's not a fail but i want it sorting as it doesnt feel right...

        I thought it would be about that age, a lot of them do it. Personally I'd live with it, but if you want to sort it then you'll need to take the steering shaft out - note that the bolts are shear bolts which means drilling them out, which is why if it passes the MOT I'd live with it on a car that age.

          ok mate thanks, may just be a case of swapping the column one day as i am a bit of a finicky sod tbh...
