  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] Corsa C Upgraded Front Brakes

Been looking at getting some new discs for the front of my car, was thinking of getting either drilled, slotted or both.

    Found these on eBay.

What do you think? Can you suggest a better alternative?

Good choice you already have there.

I'm using them and they are spot on!! I have never suffered brake fade and you can get thrown out of the window if you brake too hard lol. But due to reduced brake fade but always spot on response they are worth every penny. Just don't get other brands that have more drilled holes I have had a few sets crack under temperatures.

Also you can run GM pads on them and still get good pad life.

    Hope this helps

And please dont get talked into using red or green stuff pads total waste of money...

Hmm feel like my brakes are **** and getting worse lately. Worth getting sport brakes for just a standard car?

Might be a nice project for me to learn and fit a new set myself.

Mine are squeaking and I've been meaning to change them for a while, then I found this set up

Do the grooves and holes wear the pads out quicker?

No quicker just disperse the heat from the discs faster so reduces brake fade.

From anyone running these, just to ask as well. Did you get any extra noise once they were on?

Mine are squeaking as well, and I was going to upgrade sooner or later so I thought now might as well be the time

Half the time squeaking brakes are caused by brake dust build up or cheap pads / discs, along with badly worn discs, pads or even uneven pad contact.

Giving front brakes a good clean once a week can normally stop the noise but always remember NEVER do this while the brakes are hot and once washed, brakes will be wet so temporary break loss will occur. Cleaning the carriers copper slipping the guides / sliders regular help bad brake wear.

A lot of people forget that copper slip gets / goes hard and can cause uneven wear / braking as the pads stick. I check and service mine a lot as without them my fear of hurting / killing someone is not my idea of a memory I wish to keep.

Yeah that's why I want to get the brakes working well anyway, they seem spongey at the moment and squeaking so I think it's time for a new set.
