[Corsa D 2006-2014] Brake pedal hissing noise.

Hey guys

On.my corsa D I have noticed when my car is on but whilst I'm stationary. If I pump the brake pedal it will make a hissing noise like air is escaping?

Is this normal?

Pump or holding the pedal? Pumping the pedal may just be making a noise that sounds like a hiss.

Obviously anything making a hissing sounds that is linked to an air vacuum system like the servo means you need to check for a vacuum leak - but a vacuum doesn't usually hiss like air is escaping, it's a different tone of sound.

The usual way to check a servo is to switch the engine off, pump the brake pedal several times (you will feel the vacuum be exhausted and the pedal will go firmer) - then holding the brake pedal down turn the engine on. As the engine fires and vacuum is established the brake pedal should sink slightly.

The noise.happens when I pump the pedal 0edal uo and down. I did your test and it did as you said. But just makes the noise when u pump the pedal
