  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] Corsa C 2001 1.4 16v Automatic - Which Oil Filter?

    My daughter has just bought a Corsa C 2001 1.4 16V Automatic.

I stated to get the parts needed to give the car a service, when I requested an oil filter from the guy at the counter he asked which I wanted?

He said there were 2 different ones showing on the system for that car? He suggested I buy both and return the one I don't need.

Looking at them both out of the box, they look very similar?

Anyone any idea why there are two different filters for this model?

    Help appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Darren

Check the engine numbers - funnily enough I had exactly this yesterday sourcing parts for one. The listing should identify which filter according to the engine number. (The reg no won't tell you because that isn't specific to the build.)

      Welcome to the Forum.
Be a bit careful with these aftermarket oil filters, there have been cases of them breaking up in service and blocking oilways. To be safe, I always use genuine GM filters - along with certain other parts, especially, sensors.
