Not a lot to go on without more information, but for what it's worth.....

Can you confirm the EML light is working? Does it light up on ignition and then go out when the engine fires?

    Service history?

    Which engine?

Does it cut out or is it just not responding to throttle inputs?

When it loses power is the engine note changing with throttle input or does nothing happen?

What happens if you declutch and then blip the throttle?

Trying to ascertain if it's an engine issue or something like the fly by wire throttle failing. The usual point of failure is the potentiometer on the pedal, but damp in a connection can cause similar issues.

That's usually a fault with the ECU, a problem with the power supply to the ECU or a problem with the alternator output (weird things happen if the alternator output drops).

I'd check the other things first. If its the Alternator you will have wasted money on an ecu. If the problem is loose or dirty power connection to the ecu or its is poorly earthed even a new replacement may suffer the same problems. A new ecu can be very expensive.
