  • [Non Corsa] zafira dashlight

    hi there

    I have bought a 2002 Vauxhall zafira 1.8 petrol 152K miles

it has a light on the dashboard that is not in the user manual at all all I can find online, just says it is a coolant and water levels are low the icon looks like a box with a little pipe on the right with a star in the middle

here is a link to a picture and what they posted
Warning Light Constantly On: on a 2002 Vauxhall Zafira I Have a ...

but my coolant and water levels are at the max levels does anyone no how to fix this.

Lousy picture of it, but assuming it is the coolant light and your coolant level is fine then it's either a dud sensor or a wiring issue. They have a separate module for the cooling system which is located in a stupid place - behind the front bumper on n/s - and they get corrosion in the contacts. I'd bet that's the cause of the problem.

If you are happy that your coolant level is OK then I'd simply pull the bulb out. It's not one you need for the MOT. No car I've ever had has had a coolant warning light and I've never found a problem due to it.

Does your use a temp gauge or a warning light for overheating?
