  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] Car juddering

    I have a corsa c 1.4 Sri 16v z14xe

My car is juddering at constant speeds ( staying at 30 ) gear 3 or 4
It seems to happen mostly when low on fuel . If I take my foot off the accelerator pedal it stops or cruise it will also stop

It seems like its not getting enough fuel , iv just went on a 200 mile round trip car didn't judder but had fuel tank.

    any ideas

Any idea when the fuel filter was last changed and the car was last serviced? That'd be the first thing I'd look at.

I performed a full service two years ago apart from fuel filter as I was worried about breaking the clips. Spark plugs were done one week ago.

So you think it could be the fuel filter?

Definitely the first thing I'd change. It is meant to be done every two years at the max so it definitely needs changing if you left it out last time. If you're worried about the clips then pay a garage to change it, it won't be expensive.

If it was 2 years since the car was serviced I'd be changing other things too like air filter and oil etc.

Hesitation on light constant throttle settings is often an EGR problem. I'd give it a clean - you won't always see a code.

If you're are that worried about breaking the clips, you could get a garage to do it. If they break it, they have to fix it.

I've changed mine several times, never had a problem with the clips.

How low? Could be a problem with the fuel pick-up in the tank maybe?

Replied to your PM (didn't remember which engine you had from the PM so told you them all!)

Since they can be a bar-steward of a job on yours consider blanking it off.
