[Corsa B 1993-2000] What to look out for on a 1.7 diesel?

In that case it uses the 1.7 non turbo Isuzu engine.
Slow and basic engines but bulletproof and good mpg.
As long as it's serviced well good for 300k+ miles
Gearbox is weaker than the engine so just check engine starts ok, doesn't have any blue smoke and the gearbox isn't noisy or clunky.

Let us know how you get on with the rocker cover gasket.
I replaced mines twice. Once was quick with cheap gasket and didn't solve it. Second time i took my time, made sure all surfaces very clean and used OEM grade gasket. Still leaked!
The engine is bulletproof as long as you keep it well serviced and don't rev it to death when it's cold.
