  • [Corsa D 2006-2014] Where is the OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ????

    http://s23.postimg.org/mzjqlik63/image.jpg

right, i need to replace the oil pressure switch, as i have found slightly leaking oil on the driveway, and the oil pressure light indicator seems to come on and off on the dashboard a fair bit. However im having trouble's finding where the oil pressure switch is on my corsa d...

ive youtube'd it but can only find where to locate it on the corsa c, the corsa d is a completely different layout engine, ive took a picture above could someone please circle where on the picture it is. I would be very grateful..

Front right of the engine - fits into the cylinder head.

On my phone so can't edit your image. But if you look at the pipe going across the front of the engine, you can see it behind the silver jubilee clip.

They may have sold you the one for the petrol engines as they are more common and the oil switch fails regularly on them. A photo of the one you've got might help.

That's the one for the petrol engine.

The oil will burn off when you start the engine, it's not going to catch fire but it will make a lot of smoke. You have to pump quite a lot of oil onto a very hot heat source for it to ignite.

Make sure you top the oil up before you start it again.

Nope old one is stuck somewhere, covered in oil i can make out what's what! Don't even know how to go about cleaning it all, what a mess.
ordered one for the 1.3 diesel now, should do the trick, will add a couple litres of oil then. Atleast ive done an oil change now lol. Not in the right way, cus the driveway is covered in oil, but there ya go lol.

Ive replaced it with the correct part now, but it still seems to be leaking oil, much more. Ive tighting up the pressure switch but maybe its split pipes or something, shall i book it into a garage??
