  • [Corsa B 1993-2000] Key snapped inside the ignition barrel

Hi guys, one problem after another with this car. Today i took my key out of my pocket to start the car and noticed it was bent, so i tried to bend it back into shape and the ****er snapped. I stuck the broken part of the key into the ignition barrel and used the other part of the key to try to turn the ignition but it won't budge. I have a spare barrel and keys from a corsa i'm breaking but that was the only key i had for that car ignition. the car uses a different key for the door locks. So far i've tried wd40 and some wire to try to pull the broken part out. I've also tried a thin hacksaw blade. I also tried superglue. What else can i do? All i need is the ignition to turn to position 1 so i can replace the barrel with another one so i can use 1 key for the whole car instead of 2 different ones.

    Cheers guys.

If you put superglue on the end of the key and tried to stick it into the barrel you've possibly now superglued the broken section into the barrel, in which case you'll need to drill it out.
