  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] 1.8 sxi 16v lowering springs

    Hi All

I've just bought a C 1.8 16v SXI. I will be using it for slaloms and autotesting etc. it's replacing an ageing B 1.4 8v!

It apparently has "sports" suspension. My question is, if I want to lower it a little more, do I need to go 40mm or 60mm lowering springs?

Any info or experience would be gratefully received.

    Thank you

Depends how much you want to lower it by!

40 can be done with just springs but will be a bad ride and wear the shocks out faster.

60 will need aftermarket shocks too.
For either to make a handling improvement you'll want aftermarket shocks anyway.

Sorry, I meant were the existing "sports" springs already lower than standard springs?

Yeah I think they're about 20mm lower than the lower spec ones.

so 40mm lowering springs will actually only lower it 20mm??
