Car tyre. Damaged. Is it safe to drive?

the damage penetrates the tread of the tyre, and goes to about -1mm.
it is the front left tyre of a corsa b. 165/70 r13.

also, where else can I find out more information. Should I post on other forums? or take it to a garage? fix it with glue? swap the tyre to the back?

That doesn't look too bad to me. As long as it's not losing air I'd say it's okay. I've done worse, and asked a garage about it and they said it was fine. Did come up as an advisory on the MOT though, but it was much bigger and more obvious than that.

If your not losing air and you can't see cords then it's perfectly legal and safe

As Connor mentions, if you haven't cut through any threads you should be fine. Doesn't look too bad.

It looks fine - but that's only a photo on the internet. If you're not sure get it checked by someone who can inspect it personally.

From the lube around the rim it looks like that tyre was only fitted (or refitted) recently.
