    Hello from Slovenia
So after our fiat bravo was gone and never seen again, first Opel came in the house - 1.4 16v enjoy 2007, 40.000 miles and never had a car like this. Few questions.
The sellers said it has timing chain and it doesn't need main services, only regular services evry 30.000km. How it that possible - is it true?

Have few more questions but i will search the forum a bit.
    thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum! I've moved your post to the relevant section

Regular oil and oil filter changes will help keep the chain in good condition, and is something you can attempt to do by yourself, or get a small garage to do it, which won't cost too much.

There's no temperature gauge. It there a way to see the temp? On youtube they use computer button but my opel has no button there.
edit: OK i can use the button near the speedometer instead

What about hidden menu? Is there a list what those numers mean in hidden menue?

There is usually a way to access the engine temp. via the information display screen, but you'd need to put up a photo of your central panel to show which controls are fitted. Not being UK specification it's harder to say.

The bit about not needing main services isn't true of course, all it means is that you don't need to replace the timing belt. The chain will last at least 100,000 miles (or whatever that is in km) so long as you change the oil and filter frequently. The extended service intervals kill these chains. I change mine every 5,000 miles which is old fashioned but I don't have any engine problems.
