  • [Corsa D] Locating Coolant temp sensor

My engine check light came on a bit ago. I took the car to kwikfit who ran diagnostics for me and told me my coolant sensor had failed. They unplugged it and the problem went away for a while (about a 5 min journey...). They didnt charge so not overly bothered. The light is back on now so I want to change the sensor myself. I've checked a bunch of videos and it seems a simple replacement. My only issue is my engine does not resemble any seen in the videos.

My car is a Corsa D excite 1.2l Petrol 2012 plate.

I can post a photo of the engine if its easier to show.

Thanks in advance to anyone how can point me in the right direction!

Welcome to the forum. Yea pop a photo up of your engine, so we can point you in the right direction.
but I sure its going to be screwed into the top of the water pump.

When you change that sensor, do it with a COLD engine and with the coolant filler cap in place and tight, doing so will reduce the loss of coolant.
Make good any coolant loss with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water.

Tip: Buy a good quality sensor preferably a genuine Vauxhall.
