      Hi
yep then coolant comes back out of motor into tank.! To correct level again
      It's doing my brain in,,
if it was head gasket it would blow the coolant out
but it's doing it all backwords , Confused..
Car runs fine no overheating or anything

Have you done that when coolant is hot or cold?

          Both..
cold well it's at correct level anyway.. So doesn't move..
HOT. Get small hiss from cap Then coolant comes up hose back into header tank .!

Temperature gauge sitting around 90 when engines fully warmed up?

Yes 85/90 heater works fine, engine runs fine
just confused about why it sucks in coolant when warm ,
then puts it back in the coolant tank when cools down again
its just so odd, never seen it before

Mine did this when I had a suspected leak when I got my current Corsa. Would lose all coolant then it returns if I take cap off while fairly hot with a rush of air. K seal and letting the air out a few times sorted this for me but sadly this may be of little use to you as there are Manu variables to what can go wrong. You recently had a coolant change? Overall I my level was going down all the time though at very random intervals.

I'm starting to think its got an airlock ? As noticed there is No water coming from the little hose at top of tank, I'm told this is return from pump.?

Will try disconnecting cooling fan, so engine gets hotter..
filling tank, leave rad cap off and just let it run for couple of hours and see if it boils it out.?

The pipe from.header to rad never had anything pass through for me. Squeezing pipe from header tank to top kg engine or any around left lower side near rad would push coolant through and splash the level on mine.

Sorry I'm already out of my depth with this. Mine was a possible leak or trapped air and fixed it but was never 100% sure what it was. I was checking for leaks all over. Checking no coolant was in oil or exhaust pipe on a cold start and randomly levels would drop suddenly.

Shouldn't take cap off while hot but I think I did when the air hissed out and level suddenly raised.

A mech just told me there should be a constant flow from the little pipe at top of tank, and its the pump return.?
Says he done lots of them them and just let's it run real hot ( no fan) no rad cap till it starts to run from pipe.
                          Wright/wrong I don't know ?

I have two in top of mine. One does flow eventually yes afaik.

Sounds a bit like what I did with mine but by just guessing and trying to fault find.

I wouldn't - they can be tough little motors, but they don't tolerate being overheated at all. The fragile points are the timing cover gasket behind the water pump (the seal will distort) or the head will warp.

I'd drain the cooling system from the lower pipe on the radiator. Then refill very very slowly - and I mean like just a trickle. See how it is after that.
