My 2005 Corsa 'C' is normally garaged at night, but it had to spend a night or two outside last week in heavy rain - result as title.
As far as I could ascertain, water was entering near to the brake pedal, so removed wiper blades and windscreen scuttle to investigate.
Didn't fancy removing the servo, only to find that there possibly wasn't a problem in that area anyway.
A product called 'Dum Dum Putty' (a non setting substance) is/was the traditional coachbuilders sealant, but I have no idea if this is even still available.
My (somewhat pikey) solution was to go to B&Q and buy a tin of 'Plumbers Mate' which I have moulded round the top half of the servo, between it and the bulkhead, in order to deflect any water.
So far so good as far as the hosepipe test has gone, it remains to be seen if it will succeed in keeping the rain out!
A spin off from this, is that, whilst I had the wiper motor assembly off the car, I was able to give that 'a bit of a service'.
Regards.
