My car is black but if you look closely at the roof/boot and pretty much the whole top half of the car there is loads of little blue dots in the paint :/ I'm guessing they are points of really faded black?
I have never seen it before and have no idea how to sort it (apart from full respray)
Is that the only option?
It's been too sunny today to get pics and I think it might be better to take a pic in the dark with flash on to get a decent pic, but these Blue dots are on the outer black part of my rear window as well :/
Sounds like it's been somewhere where there's been a mist of blue paint or chemicals around. Years ago I was on the M56 going past Ellesmere Port refinery and there was dust in the air that stank. When I got home the whole of the car was pitted, it must have been something corrosive.
I've seen something similar happen in Warrington near the works there that makes washing detergents. They had a flue which blew out some chemicals and all the cars in the vicinity ended up with little blue dots all over them.
If they are on the glass as well as the paintwork then they are on the surface. You could try T-cutting them out, or go gently with some rubbing compound and then polish. I'd go as gentle as you can with anything like that to avoid removing too much paint though. You may find, as in the Warrington episode, that whatever it is was corrosive and has etched itself into the paintwork and glass - in which case there's not a lot you can do other than respray it.

I think this could be the case tbh Taurus, as iirc on some of the blue dots there is a spec of rust showing
