or is it somewhere else ?

Second question : As you can see my car is kinda multi coloured atm, spolier was originally black, sprayed with plastic primer (halfords). Mirrors where originally dark blue, sprayed with plastic primer and then with Vauxhall silver of some description ( don't know what just know it dosn't match ) bumper is very RED...

I'm going to have to do this lot myself as can't afford full respray atm, so, how should I prep the pieces and what primer etc would you guys that know suggest I use.

    ta

    Al

Not 100% sure if I want to go silver all over or satin black so if each option needs different primers please let me know cause I know nothing about painting.... some might say I know nothing about electrics or mechanics but thats another story

82L I think. 82L is Star Silver II Metallic

There is thread somewhere about spraying plastics. It needs a coat of something that has a special name. Cannot think what it is so will check it out for another post. Then priming then top coating. You can spend a lot of time smoothing the tiny bumps on the surface, or not. Looks better smoothed I think.

      HI Brink,

      Cheers mate....

Yeah, I'll have to check them all out, I was more thinking that different colours need the correct type of primer (white, grey, red etc) and as all the panels i'm doing have been painted before with different colours, what level of prep I need to do so theres no reaction with the new paint etc etc.

      that kind of thing

Key serfice .. Grey primer .. Silver. Silver is a hard colour to Match though infortunatly

Also you need to make sure it's clean and degreaserd after you have sanded it it's all about the prep... Lazy prep will be **** paint

You'll spend a fortune on paint from halfords. Better off (if you don't have money at moment) to have one thing sprayed properly at a time. Will match better than you could ever match it, be useable and look good.

Can't cost too much to have them matched up to be fair

So it was too much for you to have done.

Like it's too much for the OP at the moment

The missing step is adhesion promotor. This is an example.
