  • [Non Corsa] Recommend anywhere to get sills repaired?

Does anyone know of anywhere in the South East region that can repair the sills on my MX5 *properly*?
The previous owner has receipts showing them being done less than a year ago.
I put the pressure washed on the car and the paint instantly cracked by the sill and it looked like they had rusted already.
I'm not looking for the cheapest option, I'm looking for the most reliable option.

Like I've mentioned previously AJ, sign yourself up on MX5Nutz. Lots of good info on there and easy to get personal recommendations for this sort of thing.

I was going to ask you about them Mark as I have seen some good work from them and heard nothing but praises from you and Dave.
Also thinking about having some painting done too so could ask them to quote that also - just a bit put off about leaving the car there if it has to stay with them :/

          You'll struggle
To get a decent job and painted without leaving the car..

Yeah, good point on the painting. There was a company who came to our offices yesterday to repair a car for somebody - bumbper had been smashed (quite badly) and the rear quarter had hasty dent in it.
They were there all day 9-6 and managed to repair it and make it look brand new - including painting it.
Mind you, it was baking hot outside and the sun beams directly onto the warehouse shutter all day where he was, plus he was using a heatgun - but think that may have been for something other than curing the paint.

He came back this morning to finish the repair off - just needed to polish the new paint, and even up close, you cant tell a difference in colour or quality, and it feels even and blended in with original paint - cant tell where repair starts or ends.

I was watching him most of the day thinking 'idiot - that will end up ****e' - but i was very very impressed with how good it was.
