  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] Stealth Shelf help

Want to have some 6x9's in the back of my car but don't want to show off the speakers so want to make a stealth shelf.

Anyone made one before? Been told all I need to do is get some fabric and put it over the top to cover it but yeah.. just asking for some advice really!

    Cheers in advance.

Made them and bought them pre made. For the corsa c they are slightly tricky as they are two types of parcel shelf.

    Preface lift and face lift.

Are you using your standard or making one out of mdf?

      Whatever is cheaper really.

I have a pre facelift corsa c, so would a facelift parcel shelf not fit? Or is it a matter of look? Plus mine is a 5 door so don't know if that makes a difference..

When I had one for mine it didn't fit so they had to make mine using my standard one as a template. They made it out if cardboard first (template) then made it out of 18mm mdf. Then a separate panel that screwed underneath which the 6x9's sat in.

Heavy but very effective with the bass and sound quality.

Not aware of difference between 3 or 5 doors tbh. I also made one in my corsa project thread too.

How much did it cost you to get all that done? I saw one on eBay a while back (can't remember the price) but I wish I bought it However, you saying that them not fitting may be a good thing why I didn't buy it :P

Bought both of mine pre made from eBay (obviously for a b though)

Easy enough to make yourself, just materials wi probably cost you the same as one already done.

I just stuck acoustic cloth over mine. Bit of fabric glue and a few staples (you'll need a staple gun, a stapler won't be strong enough)
Looked spot on and lasted ages

                      Oh sorry mate

Did you notice the difference with wiper motor cut out though?

Yeah that's what I was thinking of doing but can't find the cloth anywhere. I have a staple gun though which is fine. Got a link to the type of cloth?

Yeah I saw it, haven't had time to check which one is which at the moment though. I don't have a rear wiper anyway took the motor and everything out so could take the plastic off and they'd both fit possibly

Search acoustic cloth on eBay and loads comes up.
