switched ignition live where would it be in my engine loom?
hi, I am putting the c16se this xmas break- my only question is I need to wire in the switched ignition live wire into my corsa loom, this will be in the engine loom in the bay wouldn't it? and its the thin black wire right guys? I now the permanent live (red wire) goes straight to battery positive terminal.
that's not a reverse plug on my donor car the red wire goes to the + battery terminal and the black connects to what ive been told I have to wire into the switched ign live wire ?
so I could wire / tap into the black switched ign live into the reverse light switch instead of hacking through the engine loom?! never thought of that , this would be a safe'ish way of doing this I hope craig?(have many others done this ?)
wow thanks so much for that, I didn't really want to tamper with the starting and charging loom so this seems ideal.
if I wanted to try it in the donor car before taking it out , shall I just cut it of where the other guy wired it in the engine loom and connect to the appropiate reverse light switched live wire and test ? just want to check before I take it all out and transfer it all over? would that be ok to check just snipping it of where it is and testing at the said switch craig?
thank you so much seriously been headscratching like mad today!
