  • [Corsa B 1993-2000] MOT fail, Headlight dip switch faulty

The headlight dip switch, is that switch that turns the dipped switch on and off. Or the switch that adjusts the height of the dipped beam?

Guessing on/off switch, but it seems to be working fine to me. May need to call them and ask.

Does a light illuminate on the dashboard when the headlights are on? If not could be that

A light isn't supposed to come on with the headlights, only with main beam

Could it be the switch that tilts them up or down maybe isn't working

Vegas is right. It says main beam in the manual meaning full beam, and i thought it meant dipped.

The stalk is a common failure on Corsas - usually it is the dip/main beam control that fails. They're cheap to replace.

Thanks all for the replies. I will have to have a look when it gets dark, park in front of a wall and play with the switches, see what's working and what isn't. Hopefully the process of elimination will identify the exact issue.
Hopefully it is as simple as the stalk, or switch. And not wiring.
