  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] Volume issue in stock Cd Player

When I turn my CD player on no audio comes out. I try chaning the volume with either steering wheel controls or volume nob but MFD shows now change. I can change bass/treble/fader/etc with the same knob (all built into it) and it shows up as being changed on the MFD, but the volume setting doesn't show up. Very very occasionally I can turn it on and change the volume - nothing still shows up on the MFD's but sometimes a speaker will work and react to volume change, usually the rear ones. I'm not sure what to make of this, any ideas?

I thought maybe the car comes with some sort of amp standard and that amp wasn't working. Everything else appears to be fine - only the volume has issues.

Are the speaker wires in the back of the CD playerloose?

I've already pulled it out once so I don't think so. I need to go try that again and have a closer look though. Regardless the problem isn't a connection issue with the speakers - if it was that the volume level would still show on the MFD when I change volume. It doesn't. In the car, do the speakers typically connect directly to the stereo or do they go through some sort of amp or something first?

The speakers ususally go directly into the back of the head unit

The head unit would be your normal cd player unit/etc all in one right?

I'll go have a closer look at all the connections then.

Yea, the headunit is the CD player :-)
