[Corsa C 2000-2006] Temperature Sensor / MFD reading

Hi all, forgot to post about this. My MFD shows -.- degrees as temperature on my MFD. Any ideas where the sensor is in the car or where it plugs in as I'm getting no reading?

Usually just behind the front bumper - I repaired a C last year and I have a spare loom for the sensor somewhere lurking around. The cable runs behind the lower black grill bit to the sensor.

I'm hoping mine is nuts unplugged. I'll try find the sensor and it's wiring first and see if I can work out why it's not working. Thanks

Was further down, found it and fitted a replacement sensor, no read out yet.

Could it take time for it to kick in before readout appears on MFD? FYI this wasnt working even before I fitted my radio and when the stock (without PIN/Safe Mode) radio was still in car.

Should work instantly. Probably a break in the wire somewhere, most likely the part of the loom between the sender unit and the next plug along. I've got a spare one lying around somewhere. PM your address and I'll pop it in the post.

Sender unit ? Loom? I've checked behind radio and seems ok there. Not sure where the loom is you mention but could find it and inspect it first maybe?

Sender is behind the bumper. There's a short loom between that and a connector on the n/s of the bumper.

It's in the post - I had to take the clip of the larger connector to make it fit under the postage limit of 25mm. It's loose in the envelope, you'll see where it slide into the larger connector to attach it to the bumper. Just wanted to make sure you knew there was a small loose bit in there as well as the wire.

If it's not the first part of the loom which is the bit most vulnerable to damage then it could be anywhere. To be honest if that proved to be the case I'd just ignore it.

Don't need to know outside temperature that exact,
Just open the window :/

Yeah just got another sensor to see if it was that. May as well try your loom/wire and see how it fairs. If not I'll probably ignore it. Just sorting out any issues.
