  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] Rear Lights not Working on One Side

My rear side and brake light are not working on the driver's side. Just put in a new bulb and nada. The other side is fine.

Need to fix this problem (hopefully) tonight as the car goes in for the dreaded MOT tomorrow. Still got a few days before the MOT runs out.

Can anyone give me some advice on where to look for the problem please?

Looks like it is the relay. Bulb's OK. Fuses all seem to be OK and reading up on the internet the problem would seem to be the relay. I'll let the garage fix that one tomorrow. Really hope the old girl passes her MOT.

It's due for a service as the Insp is coming on. Only car I've had in 41 years that's nagged me!

She failed her MOT on what looked at first glance a lot but was mostly related to the lights plus 1 bush needed, one of the roll bar gaiters had a split in it - only had them done in December but I think I know how that happened - went over rough, bumpy ground. Biggest job is the back brakes. They're well below the acceptable standard so really just run-of-the-mill stuff. She's in the garage at the moment but looks like she'll be good for another year

Glad to hear its all sorted at reasonable cost. Cars do tend to nag these days. And so do I.Its best not to rely on the service light for your service intervals. They are ok for newish cars doing lots of miles on a hot engine but if you do mainly short journeys or not many miles its better to do it the old fashioned way. An oil and filter change once a year, or every 5000 miles, whichever is sooner.
