  • [Corsa B 1993-2000] immobiliser problems

I have recently bought a 1998 1.2 16v corsa. When the car was bought it started fine, however the next day I tried to start it, it struggled and started on the 5th attemp with all attemps except the last giving a flashing EM lamp. I have been able to start it twice since without any logical explanation why it suddenly starts. Both times it has started the EM lam p has gone out and is no longer flashing. this happens with both keys I have. If I disconnect the battery for about 30mins it will start no problem...but only once...I can then reset fault codes succesfully. Any thoughts? I have checked the earth to the ECU and discovered inside one of the ECU connectors that there are two wires which have just been cut away (Black/green and Black/White) where should these go? I have also had a tester connected and it gives me a P1502 and P1503 code which both relate to the immobiliser. When the car won't start and has a flashing EM lamp I cannot reset the fault codes via my tester. If the car is running(after reset via battery removal/30 mins) I can reset the codes. Any help is much appreciated...Click image for larger version
