  • [Corsa D 2006-2014] Fault Code Reader

    Hi,

I have a 58 plate 1.3 CDTI Corsa which has just had the engine warning light come on. I am looking to get a Android bluetooth code reader but from some online reading not sure which one will work. I have found this one on ebay and think it should work, can anyone comfirm this?

Don't know much about the android apps (some people on here use them) but if I was you I would get a generic one off eBay orbits just for Code reading, they are only 15quid posted
I have one and it's great

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it has to be OP-COM, I've try'd OBD Interface on my Corsa it wasn't having any of it! I wouldn't bother getting a bluetooth / android scanner they look cheap and tacy and sound like they will only work once or twice!

You should still be able to vview the fault even though the light has gone out

I am aware of that, should be held in the memory. Does anyone have a link to a list of fault codes and meanings?

Depending on the reader it will tell you the fault as well as code

The code reader worked like a dream. Came back with fault code P0400 EGR Flow. I'm guessing this means taking EGR off and giving it a good clean?

That's normally the issue with EGR valves, a good clean should do it!

Good stuff, is it the EGR a pig to remove?

Clean it or blank it off

Blank it off? As in remove it and fit a blanking plate or something?
