  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] Boot lock removal / lock barrel build

Hi all. Just fixed central locking but as boot is off another Corsa by previous owner and has another lock barrel on I'm wondering if I can remove it for just a button that's unlocked only by central locking as normal. I hear you can get a lock barrel built up around my key is this worth doing or expensive? If I was to do that I would probably try getting opel handle and fit the lock on passenger side as a fail safe. Or is it not worth cost ? Just don't like having to rely on one lock barrel for the car after recent fails.

I have decided if possible that I just want to remove the barrel and replace plastic trim which is to be sprayed, anyone done this before, can you get a barrelhole-less with a push button to fit a Corsa C?

Does look to be some work when searching. If I got a smooth handle and removed the barrel which I cant key into - I need a button of sorts to replace the push button un-catch mechanism that the barrel does. That and find a smooth boot handle that will fit.

Ah Jesus that's the name of it. I was looking at posts that wanted it will whole new lock system. I just want a popper on existing motor without barrel which will keep it clicked shut unless pressed and locked unless central unlocked.

Looked on eBay, did not find.

Ah without the corsa C. I only need a pushbutton and original lock. So probs need one of these kits but without wiring up inside switch ?
