[Corsa B 1993-2000] Rear Lexus Lights Issue

Hi, I have some rear Lexus Lights that seem to be not working properly, To start off with I can't get the brake light to come on when the rear lights come on... step on the pedal and nothing happens.. when the rear lights are turned off.. the brake light still doesn't work! however we made the fog lights to become the rear lights and then the brake lights to be the brake lights if that makes sense.. and it works.. but that's an MOT fail! I've played with the wires to see which one does which blown a couple of fuses and still nothing.. I'm totally baffled..? oh and the light bulb is a double filament bulb

I don't think many people have ever repaired them, they normally get binned.

They we're already on the car.. I'm only looking to get them working to pass the MOT

Maybe the lights themselves are broke if wiring is fine

All I see are Altezza style tail lights on the google results. Nothing with the tail lights off a Lexus.

They're not lights from a Lexus.

They're Corsa lights in the style of Lexus lights.

I see. I wikipedia searched Altezza and it says "also called lexus lights because the IS series came with clear lens covers"..... Calling them lexus lights hurts my brain....
