  • [Corsa B 1993-2000] Headunit / window issue

    HI,

Need some help with this cause I'm stumped.

Fitted aftermarket headunit using basic wiring loom adapter - all fine

Fitted electric windows - ran power from battery to new fusebox in kickwell - ran seperate lives from fusebox to both doors - ran seperate earths from both doors and fixed to inner cills, ran control wire (ign live) from cigar lighter to both doors - simples.

So why when I turn on the headunit does the n/s window go down ? - every time the track changes !!!!!

I cant see the connection ( no pun intended )

please help, its very quiet in my car

Sounds as if you have the powered antenna wire on the headunit wired into something on the electric windows...

      HI DAve,

thanks.... does sound like it - but as the control wire is common'd to both doors I would have expected both windows to be affected and I cant see why a feed off the antena wire would bypass the window switches ? - cause nothing is being pressed

thinks I'll have to strip out and reinstall

let you know if I find anything
