  • [Corsa D 2006-2014] DRL Wiring

Hi ive got a 2008 corsa van and I am considering installing some DRL where the fog lights would be since my corsa doesn't have any, I want to wire the DRLs to the dip beam wire in order to be able to turn them off but I don't know where the wire for the dipped beam lights is? Also im guessing the process of installing this lights will just consist of wiring them to the battery, dipped beam and earth? Im a real novice when it comes to this kind of thing so your help will be greatly appreciated especially any photos
Here is the DRL im am going to purchase LED DRL Daytime Running Lights Vauxhall Opel Corsa D 2006- | eBay

    Why do you want these?

Have I understood properly, you want to have it so DRLs come on with dipped beam?

Dip beam is for when it starts to get dark, so why would you want daytime lights on ?

They're supposed to turn off when the dips turn on. So needs to go through a normally closed relay that opens when you turn on the dips.

I thought it was the easiest way to do it. I also think they generally look good

Any idea what relay could be used for this?

It's having daytime lights with night time lights.

Almost as bad as bellends driving around with fog lights on all the damn time

Only going by the advice I read on the Corsa D forum to solder them to the dipped lights

Just a 12v normally open relay. Connect the DRLs to the output, the headlights to the coil side and the input to an ignition live (not the battery like you suggested).

Maplin is usually a good place for them.
