  • [All Models] Best halogen H4 bulbs?

From your experience, what halogen bulb gives the best, whitest light output?

I'm assuming Osram Night Breakers or Philips Blue Vision are the best.

I've used the phillips ones and the Halfords ones and found both to be good. Seen a lot of reviews for the halfords ones saying they don't last long, so if I wasn't in a rush id have got the Phillips again.

Does your car have clear headlight lenses?

I've used the Philips in the past, wouldn't say their that white but they definitely had a longer range of beam and night driving was much improved

I've used the Philips ones on my old Corsa but don't really remember what they were like lol. I remember they were better than standard but that's a given really.

Surely all headlight lenses are clear?!

They have the ribbed light patterns in the glass if that's what you mean? They're uprated PIAA headlights apparently.

Yeah I seem to remember my old ones giving a stronger beam.

Basically I don't want HIDs, but I want a decent bright as-close-to-white light I can get.

              My current ones are these:

              Error page | eBay

About the same output as standard but its the whitest light I've got so far whilst trying quite a few different bulbs.

Philips Blue Vision are the best compromise for whitest vs brightest.
Osram Cool Blue are a cheaper version but not as good
