    Hello

    i am new here so please be patient with me.

    I am in need of some help with my X20XEV conversion... and yep its with the wiring!

    i have a corsa 1L 12V so yeah the more awkward corsa shell and engine to wire up i guess. i have cut the ecu plug off from inside the engine bay and pulled the wires through into the drivers foot well. i have also got the vectra loom pushed through into the foot well. i am trying to join both of the looms together and i have no idea what wire goes to what where...

    i have managed to match up a few of the wires but i am still left with some i have no clue about. i have seen a few xe guides but i can,t see how they are similar.

    does anyone have any diagrams, wire for wire guide or absolutely anything that can show me what direction to go in? i will donate some money to the site or even to your beer fund if someone can figure this out for me, this is my first engine conversion and wiring is the worst thing for me to figure out.

                the last x20xev i did i used an astra mk3 loom, as the vectra one was a nightmare. that said, it really is a case of matching colour for ccolour, and making sure the red wires have 12v permanent, and the blacks have 12v switched.

                looking at the pics, that loom looks buitchered......

                  be aware also, the vectra ecu needs a transponder, and chip aswell. the astra doesnt if its pre 93, cavalier ones dont either.

                    Thanks for the reply,

                    i have the transponder and key chips, my corsa has a transponder aswell so am i right in thinking i just replace it with the vectra one? I think its the switched and permanent lives that are giving me hastle because i currently cant get any power to it and there are no dash lights. I an going to have a better look at it tomorrow.

                      red there is batt perm, brown is earth for the battery.

                      then you need to look for the black and red and then figure out which wire is the transponder ones, which is the vss ones, and which is the fuel pump. iirc all are red with a blue trace......
