  • 4pin coil pinouts

Hi guys, new user here, ive been searching on google but cant get a definate answer, i have a 2007 opel corsa(i think its the corsa b) its a 1.4 lite sport, now the ecu has burned, and im busy wiring in a dicktator(local south african ecu) now last part i need to do is the coilpack, now i cant find which pins are for what, its a 4pin connector, pin c and d is "shorted" if i use a multi meter and check continuity, if anyone can tell me what i need to wire where i would greatly apprechiate the help, locally i cant seem to get the help i need, all ive been told is that in c and d is common and i only need to wire c.

    Thanks in advance

I only have wiring diagrams for UK spec cars, I'm guessing even thoguh its a 2007, its stillthe UK equivalent of a Corsa B?? If you can get some pictures of the body shape, and the engine, and if possible the engine code too. That will help me figure it out a bit easier.

I have a pin out here of a UK Spec Corsa B 1.4 Sport, but it may not be of any use to you.

      Dave.

Engin no is either c14nz or c14se, not at the car right now, will check when i get hom(in sa the corsa b was only discontinued recently)

Ah ok, i thought that might be the case.

The sport engines in the UK are different to that. However we do have the C14SE and the C14NZ also, and I have diagrams for those.

          C14SE:
          1. Black - Ignition Live
          2. Brown - Ground
          3. Black/Red - ECU pin D10
          4. Black/Yellow - ECU Pin C3

I dont have any details on what D10 and C3 are on the ECU, but I'd assume they are the timing triggers as recieved by the ECU. So attempt to connect whatever timing trigger you are using with the new ECU into these.

The C14NZ is slightly different on my diagrams in that the coild and ingition amplifier are seperate. The C14SE detailed above incorporates the amp and coil into one unit. Need to confirm which one you actually have.

Ok if i look at the colours on the plug its the same as the colours you gave for c14se, im not sure where to check what engin this is, the engin no is n90007899

Also would i be correct to assume neg to brown, positive(ignition) to black and ignition output 1 and 2 from my ecu to black/red black/yellow?

If it was me doing it, then yes I'd do exactly that.

The engine code will be stamped on the block somewhere, usually at the back, on the side where the gearbox mates to the block. But the C14NZ uses different wire colours to those i mentioend for the C14SE, so if you have those colours on your loom, then im pretty sure it'll be the C14SE.

If you have your full VIN number I can plug that into the GM EPC software and pull up the engine details that way if you want to be doubly sure.

Hi thanx for all your help, started the car, now to have it mapped, one more question, could you tell me how to wire the aic, its a 4pin, according to the wireing of the dicktator the dicktator has a single cable out for idle control, the other side goes to ignition positive, wpuld like to wire it in aswell, the colours are
                  Green/white
                  Green/blue
                  Green
                  Green/white

Hi, no problem, glad it helped/worked.

The IAC, I'm probably not going to be much use with, my diagram shows all 4 pins on the Idle control valve, lead back to the ECU, and they aren't identified any further, other than that they go to C4, C5, C6 and C3 on the original ECU. I dont have any details past that.
