  • [Corsa D 2006-2014] heating rear window

Something is wrong with rear window heater.
At least two of heating lines are not working but there's more.

The button sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Is there time switch involved?
When it's working - orange light on - sometimes i can't just turn it off! Or sometimes i can't turn it on!!
    Whats the deal??

The broken lines are within the screen, not a lot you can do about it.

The button sometimes working - it's probably the control module I'm afraid. What year is yours? The older ones had a switch and the newer ones have an on/off button. Basically the button does very little, it only triggers the control module. I say 'probably' since that's usually the case, you'd need to check the button itself isn't sticking, but 9 times out of 10 it will be the module which is an electronic issue and means a replacement.

      tested the button again
It's not sticking but there's definitely something wrong. Looks like i have to push it harder than other ones. How do i remove the panel? Maybe there's dust or some crap inside...

About window heater strips i found out you can repair them by making tiny strip of conductive (silver) paint. Costs about 15 pounds...

The older windows had surface mounted strips which you could paint between gaps. Newer ones have the strips inside the glass so you can't repair them with the paint on material.
