Can anyone suggest any decent snow foam solutions? I tried the Demon Foam and it just ran straight off the car and didn't really clean anything, although it smelt nice

When you say demon foam, do you mean that wash shampoo thats slightly foamy from demon wash (carplan)?? With the hose adapter thing.
If so that's shockingly awful. You need a pressure washer and snow foam lance to get anything impressive mate.
I use a K2 Karcher pressure washer, this lance - Autobrite Heavy Duty Foam Snow Foam Lance, and this snowfoam - Autobrite Citrus Snow Foam Concentrate

Also if you're made of money AutoBrite MagiFoam is probably the best going at the moment.
Theres tons of snow foams though, even the cheap ones work a million times better than that demon shine foam ********Comment

I bought the karcher K2 today and the karcher snow foam lance
The snow foam itself was the demon shine brand that goes into a pressure washer - not the one with the built in garden hose pipe adaptor.

Yeh if its the little dumpy bottle thats also a bit pants, used to use that. Karcher do have a better lance though, so if you've got that, that'll be better.Comment

Cleaning the zafira turning the nozzle up full gives the most foamy finish but empties it rapidly. You only put an inch of fluid in the bottom though. With smaller cars your probably looking at 2-3 refills of that inch. It's probably a weaker mix than the demon shine but still smells of cherries and works! Love it.Project log. Live on a top floor flat so don't have a hose/pressure washer.
