3 people confirmed dead, with more injured. From reports it just dropped out of the skyOriginally posted by DaveOriginally posted by Stephen Fry[B]"It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' Heard about it last night. We usually see them landing now and then from my work where this one crashed but wasn't working last night when it happened. Been wondering what caused it, if mechanical fault or pilot issue

Think initial thoughts are mechanical failure.

Rotor blades are largely intact, indicating a low rotor speed on impact. And eyewitnesses report hearing a sudden change in the sound of it before it fell from the sky.

That's what always scared me when i went to RAF airshows with the helicopter rides. If a planes engines fail you can slide glide and have a controlled landling, but no idea what you can do when that happens to a helicopter

apparently helicopter was going down, pilot thoufht fast annd turned off both fuel supply lines making the damage a lot less. which could of been the change in engine sound.
my dsd reckons it could of been an SAS job. getting rid of someone acidentilly. i highly doubt this but you never know

Doubt it. Not saying SAS/MI5 don't get rid of people however they won't get innocent lives caught up in it.Originally posted by DaveOriginally posted by Stephen Fry[B]"It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.'
