  • The beer thread of beerness

I figured we could move all beer stuffs here. Get some good beer talk going about non-bottled piss.

Ironic an American calling beers piss, anyway my summer choices are; Stella, kronenberg, birra moretti and San Miguel. They all make for a nice light beer to have in the sun.

Real ale will be resumed on the cold winter nights, next to a log fire and a sheep dog.

If we are discussing real ales then may I suggest trying an old peculiar.

Not all... about 75% though. Hard to talk beer to most people because you say high gravity and they think the **** was brewed at high altitudes because the air density makes it stronger... yes... I have been told that....

But most of my friends drink IPAs which taste like someone put potpourri in a burlap sack and boiled it in water, and thats what they bottled.

My top 10 Beers are as follows:

Mini-heff brewed by the owner of The Brew Shop / The Platypus Pub in Bend, Oregon. guy is a F-in ARTISAN.
          Black Boss Porter
Samuel Smiths of Tadcaster Oatmeal Stout
Black Butte Porter (Deschutes Brewing company)
          Overcast Chocolate Espresso Stout
S1N1ST0R BLACK by 10 Barrel Brewing (technically its a Black Ale, but nobody really cares enough about dark beer to find out)
          Old Rasputin
Swill (Grapefruit summer beer by 10 Barrel Brewing Co. Bend, Oregon)
          Obsidian Stout (Deschutes Brewing company)
Samuel Smiths Of Tadcaster Organic Strawberry

I guess you can throw in Mirror Pond by Deschutes, its one of those last resort beers.

The city I lived in Oregon (Bend, Oregon) has the highest brewery to population ratio in the WORLD. I used to go out and get ****in SMASSHEEEDDD because everywhere is within walking distance....

Now if you wanna talk Ciders, I can go there too. Or Champagnes. Whatever floats your kettle.

Well Guinness is unique in its composition because generally most of it doesnt contain hops because Ireland's climate doesnt allow for hops to grow there.

Most of the pubs around mine have a good selection of local real ales, which are always good. Infact, we'll be wiring a new brewery for one of them in October with a bar onsite! Hopefully we'll get a few freebies
