Following on from the steam box thread, there's news that steam are going to release a streaming box allowing you to play games on your TV streamed off your main PC. This would appeal to me far more than spending a large amount of money on what effectively is a second PC with the steam box.Week In Tech: I Dream Of Steam Streams | Rock, Paper, Shotgun

Yeah, but then that would mean I wouldn't be able to use it if the other half wants the TV.Please contact me via PM if you would like to transfer your AllCorsa Gold Membership over to our VIP Membership. It's completely free to do so.

Resurrecting this slightly old thread with a relevant update.
I've looked a bit more in to this recently as the information on hardware available has changed quite significantly so I'm more aware of what could be used.
I've settled on something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zotac-Specia...pecial+Edition
which would act as the client. All it needs to handle is decoding the actual stream, all the hard work is done by the more powerful host PC upstairs.
Going to treat myself to one on the next payday and finally make use of the big comfy sofa and big TV in the living room. Please contact me via PM if you would like to transfer your AllCorsa Gold Membership over to our VIP Membership. It's completely free to do so.
