Can police do anything?

Well this evening was leaving leaving a multi story car park, in first gear hit 4000rpm then lifted of and slowly slowed down for the ramp, as I was driving down the ramp a police car was bombing up the other side and slammed on the brakes when he saw me, did no signals or didnt shout to get my attention to stop.
Anyway did a loop around the bottom floor to the exit where the police car had reversed down and was waiting, once again did nothing and I drove off.
Think he jotted down my number plate should I be expecting anything?

Na not that sense but some police can be out to get you now and again and make it seem asif they want to pull you for the fun of it

4000rpm in 1st gear would've probably made a bit of noise, so it would've caught his attention, and I'd guess he was waiting at the bottom to see if you did anything he could tell you off for.
