I want to use my phones internet usage via my pc, I have done this before so know it works bit for we reason it isn't working any more

I connect my phone to computer all fine and says it's connected bit I might need to open a web page to complete the connection but nothing happens, hope this makes sense

    Any help would be great

What phone is it and how are you physically connecting it to the PC? Also what software are you running to control the phone on the PC?

Phone is a sony xperia lt30p, I just go on my settings and turn on the hotspot option and then it connects automatically to my computer as I have used it before (I have tried doing it all over again, which made no difference)

I have connected my phone to pc a few times and can't remember off top of my head but there is some software on my pc just for my phone

I have also tried connect via usb which has the same problem, phone connects straight away bit the internet is just local access only then it says if I am using a hotspot I will need to open a webpage but when I do nothing happens
