the car's paint needs some serious correction so i'll hopefully borrow a DA and take care of that, refurb the wheels, lower and a few other little bits, and that should be a good start!

Yeah mate, seen yours earlier it looks clean for the age, my paintwork's shot for its age!

I'll probably do a oil change, fuel and oil filters and spark plugs in the new year, too cold right now!
it wouldnt start this morning but i reckon its just the weather and the fact it isnt getting run arround in, hope it's not needing a new battery!

best smell ever!

so paint correction will start in january, anyone got any tips for compounds that go well with vauxhall paint? not sure of the hardness..

put a 5ers worth of fuel in and jumped the car the other day but all 4 wheels were seized soild, after a combo of wheel spinning (wasnt fun... honest and jakcing up and hitting with a big hammer (actually wasnt fun atall) they loosened up, so im going out to hopefully start it off the key in ten mins!wish me luck!

Seems pretty clean, unlike corsa b's they hardly rust at all so you have a clean base to work from! Will keep an eye on this.

I wish I had a decent polisher. You think mine looks clean for age but it is quite swirly in the light. Quite possible I can get them out but been quite lazy about it as it's a fair bit of work to get the overspray off first.

Has it been left for ages to cease up like that?

Yeah you guys make a good point, ill add a proper service to the todo list!
the cars high milage, 105k but the engine was totally rebuilt at 80k, so it effectively has 25k on it and yeah, i left it for about a week or so not moving in the recent bad weather with the handbrake on so i guess thats what was stuck, the front wheels were just laggy from surface rust on the disks!

im going to colour code a few bits on the engine bay as well as detail it, any ideas for cool colours?


also seen a guy with an opc plug cover, anyone know if you get them or if it was just a sticker?

Ah nice, my paint isn't much worse off to be honest although I don't have the scratches on the front.

Nothing like new plugs and an oil change and the rest to get the car in tip-top shape, you'll notice other things possible as you do it also.

Look forward to seeing you bust out the DA on it, I would love to properly restore mine but weathers just pants.

Yeah man, ill probably have to go balls deep and wet sand those scratches and a few others out! the paint wont ever be spotlessly perfect, as its had a new rear bumper at one point which has had a bit of a dodgy respray, also i dunno if you spotted but my irmy front splitter must have see the wrong side of a pavement, so ill have to repair that too.
where are ya from shaggy? Weather is balls here too! Im trying to sweet talk my aunt into letting me take over her out house/ barn and turn it into a booth of some sort

Think I've had a similar thing with my rear bumper actually. It's had a bump in it's life.
Lol. You'll notice all sorts of little things, I was getting well wound up by my broken parcel shelf clip as made an awful noise all the time... The smallest thing but yeah. Had to sort it.
