  • [Traitor Car] Michaels Fiesta - The Colonel

    Hey guys!!

I decided to start a project thread for my "traitor car"

Posts are copied over from the Fiesta Forum...I'll try and omit some of the responses

    Hey guys!

I figured I may as well start making my own project thread!

Once upon a time, I had a lovely 1.3 CDTi Corsa SXi (MY08) Remapped. Sadly, it cost too much in repairs (replacement Turbo, Intercooler pipe, EGR valve, Clutch, Gearbox, Diff and gear 6 Syncro), so I part ex'd it for a little 1.25 Zetec (MY09).

    So, here's how it started.

This is the day I picked it up

THEN, I had a moment of stupidity and thought this would look good...

(I still have these...anyone want them!!?)

During my stupidity, I had a moment of wiseness, and bought a nice complete suspension kit. Shocks and Springs, 55 front, 45 rear, with the option to stick 60mm springs on

Then I got less stupid and got black wing mirrors again

I THEN decided that Halogen sidelights are rubbish, and so are the headlights...So I bought some White LED sides, and some Plasma Xenon dipped and fulls.

Unfortunately, the sides were odd colours :-/

SO I just switched them for the xenon sidelights and fitted the rest

My brother was nice enough to get me one of these :-D

And I was awesome enough to get me a set of these

Then it snowed, so I figured, perfect time for photos!

It was a quiet couple of months after the snow, mainly as I was buying a house, left little time to play with the Colonel.
After the house was bought, I noticed how horrible and rusty the drums and calipers were, so I bought some Hammerite and got to work!

    Drums were really easy

    Got Stance ;-)

    Then on to the front

Feeling pleased with myself, I carried on with my little 'mods'
The foot rest felt, lacking, so I bought a rubber mat from Wilkos, and made this...

Far nicer to rest on :-)

    A quick wash afterwards

Around this point I de-restricted and drilled the airbox. I have to say, the noise is really nice, especially around 3k revs

And that's the Colonel so far

    Next on the agenda is:
    Paint alloys anthracite
    ZS rear valance
    ZS Front lower spoiler
    ZS sideskirts

I have a set of spare wheels that I'm gonna stick on during the alloy refurb, so I should be able to get them done sooner

I know alot of people will say its a waste, but I am also getting the car remapped

    Comments and criticism welcome

    Thanks for reading!

I Won a Zetec S Front spoiler off eBay!

Painted and fitted...but it needs a polish as I may have steamed it whilst trying to remove the excess Tigerseal during fitting...

Anyway... a little photo shoot...unwashed haha!

Tbh...i just wanted a picture with the spoiler on :-D

I'm not a fan of Ford's but I do like the look of the front on this, I'd change your alloys next.

Cheers dude! I'm keeping the alloys, having them in anthracite instead :-) Steelies will be going on soon, for the winter

Ford Mondeo 16" alloys with 205 50 ZR 16 would suit it.

Et40 offset. 6.5j wheel width like these
