[Corsa B 1993-2000] My corsa b sport

Just picked it up, little info about it as follows:

Corsa B 1.6 16v sport

Arden Blue

2000 W reg

61000 miles

Mods as follows:

VX Inlet

Uprated Injectors

Adjustable Coilovers

Lowered 80+ mil all around

Angel Eye head lights

Now from what my mate tells me it needs a few new things done to be mint.

It needs a new oil sump plug as its go a small leak so have got one of there to put in, it's a magnetic plug so should help to keep little bits out the pump to.



Needs new washer pipe as Its not working but I'm not sure what size the pipe is, want to get some blue silicone pipe to replace it.

And it has a slight miss but not sure if its the plugs or cool pack. How ever it has had uprated injectors fitted by the owner previous to my mate so could be them.

I've been told its running 120bhp to about 130bhp but this is extremely over exaggerated as they came 106 bhp standard so once I've sorted the miss and got the toys on ill be off to get it dynoed.

Will keep you guys updated though .

Guy He bought it off says its 130bhp but I'm going to get it dynode once I've got the cat back an induction on. I suspect it's running no where near this and highly exaggerated,

Give such a big increase. Don't forget the car would have naturally lost power over the years too

Yeah I know would like to know what it is running...but....

Its got a slight miss its had a comp test and its all good but still might be something to do with injectors not doing there job as it needs to be mapped.

But it could be the plugs, leads, coil pack or the EGR valve, I've been told I can blank out the EGR with a blanking plate but its going to put my EM light on forcing me to get a diagnostics to delete it from the the system so it don't come back on, but would rather it sorted.

if you leave the egr plugged in but blanked, it shouldn't bring the EM light on. Are you keeping those wheels?

My mrs naighbour said it would put the EM light on.. A few have said the same thing over on corsa-b forum to but not sure if it will or not.

No I want to put cavalier slabs on it but have them powder coated white.

have also discovered to day it has uprated injectors fitted that could be causing it to misfire so going to get if mapped at some point now

It was 130 a min ago, now it's 120 lol.

Egr occasionally brings EML on, I've blanked off two of them now, just ignore the light. If EGR is at fault you should have engine management light. Car should and doesn't need to be "mapped" with just a powerbox on it, it's pointless. I don't even think your ecu can be mapped.

Why have the injectors been uprated? Literally no point, car sounds like its been left with somebody without a clue tbh

I have no idea what it's running been told two different things... But don't think it's running either of them to be honest.

And as said they guy who owned it previous to my mate has done it all to it.

All I'm concerned about is getting the misfire sorted out. I'm not a mechanic but I figured the best place to ask and find out thing would be on a corsa forum...

I hate ***** style lights with a passion I've always been a fan of smoked or tinted.

Decided to photoshop a set on see what they look like, I rather like them, think I mite order a set...or get the originals Sprayed to match .
