Managed to sort out my auto levelling headlight sensors. I soaked them both in WD40 and gave the rods a bit of a wiggle to ensure they weren't seized, the issue hasn't returned. I assume some water got into the sensor - they're a bit of a poor design to be honest.

Yes thankfully, as the sensors are bloody expensive and awkward to get to without ramps.

I'm still trying to work out how best to mount bikes to the car, if I'm to keep it long term (more than a year) then a detachable towbar makes the most sense (it's the more expensive option, but less chance of damaging the car, and means I could get a small trailer for when I go camping if I wanted). A roof rack is much cheaper but risks scratching the roof every time I used it!

Car is booked in for next week as think I have a wheel bearing on its way out, or something (that's the only thing I can see it being based on the noises), hopefully nothing too expensive anyway.

Then it's being booked in to fit a detachable towbar so I can put a bike carrier on it (assuming the exhaust isn't a problem that is, will cross that bridge when I get there!). I'd originally planned a roofrack but it's going to be too much hassle and risk scratching the roof each time I use it, at least a towbar can be completely hidden these days.

Not very much if I read correctly - but to be honest I am not sure I understand any of it as the handbook just shows the car on scales and no actual weight for the thing it's towing - my bathroom scales don't look fit for the job. I figure a few bikes aren't going to be enough to be a problem though, maybe 50KG in all

Interesting to know how its towing capacity compares with Lewis Hamiltons Mercedes, or Sebastian Vettels Ferrari

Next problem has arrived before the last one is resolved

Brakes have started producing a very high pitched noise when I'm driving slowly unless i slightly dab the brakes the entire time, ruined my nice lunchtime drive

If I gather correctly, the max car weight is on the left, and the max weight allowed over the rear axle is on the right. So basically don't overload the car and you'll be fine.
