One of the 1st thing i did was lower it 40mm all rounds on gmax shocks and springs

And i fitted clear front indicator which i since replaced back to orange for more original look

Now that i had it handing better it was time to get it running better so i ditched the pierburg carb that was f'ed and borought a brand new weber replacement

The old rad was a tad rotten

So i got a brand new one

It was sat in primer for a couple of days so i shutz the front wheel wells

I meant to comment on this earlier.
What age was the guy you bought it from? Looks like a good unmolested example. I was in a 1.4SR (not SRI) and it was pretty nippy with a full exhaust system.
Will you keep this one looking standard?

What was the problem with the original carb? I imagine a replacement wasn't that cheap.

I love restoration projects like this, so please keep us updated
