  • [Traitor Car] Mk2 Rev3 MR2 2.0GT // Black

    Dragons' 1995 Mk2 Rev3 Black 2.0 GT Toyota MR2

    As it stands:
    • 4x nearly new Toyo Proxes T1's[/*]
    • EBC Greenstuff Pads front and back[/*]
    • EBC drilled, grooved and vented discs front and back[/*]
    • Toad Ai606 Cat1 alarm and immob[/*]
    • Mongoose stainless steel cat back exhaust system[/*]
    • T-Bar Roof[/*]
    • Pioneer headunit w/uprated Kenwood speakers[/*]
    • LED sidelights and indicators[/*]

    Planned mods:
    • New wheels, probably 16", probably japanese, dish, large lip. Refurbed with inner spokes/face in focus RS green.[/*]
    • Lowered a SMALL amount to account for nicer wheels/smaller tyres[/*]
    • De-Cat the mongoose system[/*]
    • HID Xenon conversion on headlights and if money allows, the front fogs too.[/*]
    • Jap scene stickers are something i want to do too, for the lulz. To be discussed and researched though.[/*]
    • New steering wheel, somethign slightly smaller and nicer.[/*]
    • New horn, as the standard one is a bit... wussy.[/*]
    • Tint the back and rear quarter windows with medium smoke, tine front windows with light smoke (keeping it legal throughout)[/*]

For those who don't know, the car is a 2.0 n/a (i was talking about turbo but works out too expensive with insurance). Pushing out 174bhp to the rear wheels. 0-60 in around 7.6 seconds.

Will update when stuff actually happens, still getting to grips with rear wheel drive, lol. Its really different!

Looking forward to the updates. Looks nicer than I was expecting too, I was expecting it to be a bit more boxy and not as smooth and rounded as it is.

Thanks guys! danny, yeh i kept forgetting to put one up, lol... Nibnob, you're probably thinking about the older Rev1 bodystyle ? Where its essentially the same shape, but every curve is boxed and is all straight lines. There were 5 revisions of the Mk2, Rev3 is the nicest imo. Rev2 introduced the curved body, then Rev3 made it look a little nicer.

Glad you like it though, seeing it in person made my mind up instantly, although ive always liked them, id never seen one up close and personal, and never been inside one. Everything about it is great.

Although today, there was a massive spider hiding in the cover panel for the passenger T-bar roof panel, and as my sister pulled the panel down the spider jumped on her... She's deathly scared of spiders, and even imo (someone who will gladly pick up any and all animals/insects/mammals) this one was pretty big. i've never seen someone move so quickly out of a car!

I imagine it feels very cool and satisfying when you turn the headlights on and you can see them blink open lol. I'd like the simple things like that anyway lol. And yeah I'm probably thinking of one of the older models then, this one looks much nicer and I'm so glad you went for black and not red. Old red cars look crap and dated in my opinion. Any ideas on fuel economy yet? And do you have any more pics? Would be interesting to see some interior ones to see the layout and dash etc.
